Description
Shell 45rpm flexi-disc seven-inch featuring music from the short film Shell Spirit (1963) by British filmmaker Geoffrey Jones.
Music played and composed by South African Kwela musician and pennywhistle master Lemmy "Special" Mabaso accompanied by the Mackay Davashe Quartet.
A rare sleeve design by Paul Rand, including the character Mr Shell and company tagline "Go Well–Go Shell".
Flexi-disc is one-sided, made by British manufacturer Lyntone.
Not produced commercially, this disc is extremely rare, used for internal use and distribution by Shell and was available at select Shell garages during the 1960s.
Disc is in mint unplayed condition.
Sleeve is good condition for age, there is a tear in the bottom fold at back which has been stuck down at some point however this does not detract – see photographs which are of actual item you will receive.
