Description
1962 original release, 1st pressing "The Things We Did Last Summer" by Shelley Fabares.
COLPIX SCP 431 STEREO 12" vinyl LP album. The much sought after Stereo version of Shelley's best album.
If you have been looking for a beautiful, excellent condition cover for this rare stereo LP cover, look no further. It's by far the best example I've ever seen. These covers are almost always very beat up, rough-looking and worn out. This one looks fresh and almost sparkles with the slight gloss coating given in production. Know that there IS a slight bump to the upper left corner (see my several scans—my scans are ALL made directly from the piece I have here for auction). There are NO other bends or creases to the front cover. There is NO seam splitting, which is almost unheard of when observing other copies of this cover. There is very little mouth wear and the spine printing is perfectly placed, sharp and clear. The printing quality on the front cover is absolutely stunning, with perfect ink registration and MNO wear to the darker areas of the front artwork. The back cover has a slight abrasion to the upper middle white (blank) area. It looks as though someone removed a label there, but it in NO WAY detracts from the printed areas surrounding it (again, see my back cover scans). There is wear to the black ink on the BACK cover top and bottom, which makes the almost perfect front cover condition all the more remarkable. There is no fading to the bright, clear and crisp printing on the front cover. This is a uniquely rare, almost near-mint cover to a wonderful album by a wonderful woman. The album plays through without skipping and has a wonderful, wide-spanning stereo spectrum. There are scratches to the vinyl and much handling, but that doesn't detract from its playability. My scans show all the track listings and should answer your questions, but please let me know if I can answer any additional concerns you may have.
