Description
SHIRLEY & DOLLY COLLINS - 'LOVE, DEATH & THE LADY'
1970 UK *MINT & SIGNED* LP
This incredible album was recorded as a companion-piece to 1969's 'Anthems in Eden', but has a darker tone to it. An in-depth article about this amazing album can be found here. It was named 'Folk Album of The Month' in 'Melody Maker' on release in May 1970, an original copy of which pictured in the final image and is included with the LP.
This particular copy of this haunting LP is a possibly unique MINT & AUTOGRAPHED 1st pressing on the green Harvest label: SHVL 771
It is housed within a lavish outer laminated UK printed gatefold cover which has been SIGNED inside by both Shirley AND her late sister Dolly.
The autographs were obtained by a local newspaper journalist who reviewed local folk concerts and are guaranteed to be 100% genuine.
Matrix numbers: SHVL 771 A-1 & SHVL 771 B-1
Stamper codes: 1/R & 1/G - these codes place it amongst the first few hundred copies ever pressed.
