Up for auction is this super rare promo 7" 45 featuring Academy Award winning actress Shirley Jones performing 'Walk In Silence'. The track was recorded in 1973 for intended release as a single which was subsequently cancelled and withdrawn from release by Bell Records. The track is written and produced by Motown writer Ron Miller and is a far departure from Jones' previous releases. Ron Miller wrote some classics for Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, and many more. The track is superb and uses Jones' rarely used belt voice as opposed to her more familiar soprano range heard in 'Oklahoma!' and 'Carousel'. It really is a fantastic recording, produced in the penultimate year of 'The Partridge Family'.
The record is in EXCELLENT CONDITION and comes in a plain sleeve. Nice labels. Shiny excellent vinyl. Plays excellent. Great opportunity to own perhaps Shirley Jones' rarest record. A must have for Partridge Family fans!
