Here for auction is a super rare promo only 7" featuring Academy Award winning actress Shirley Jones performing 'Walk In Silence'. The track was recorded in 1973 for intended release as a single which was subsequently cancelled and withdrawn from release by Bell Records. The track is written and produced by Motown writer Ron Miller and is a far departure from Jones' previous releases. The track is superb and uses Jones' rarely used belt voice as opposed to her more familiar soprano range heard in 'Oklahoma!' and 'Carousel'. It really is a fantastic recording, produced in the penultimate year of 'The Partridge Family'.
The record is in VG+ condition and comes in a plain sleeve. There is some handwriting on the label of Side A and a sticker on Side B (see photos).
Great opportunity to own perhaps Shirley Jones' rarest record. A must have for Partridge Family fans!
