A great song here from 1957 rarely seen on ebay

 

Please note. I do not give my records an overall grade. I try to be as descriptive as possible about the record, and leave potential buyer's to make up their own mind. The vast majority of records i am selling have a sound quality of Excellent or better. So, if you prefer to look at your records rather than play them then none of my items are for you. If, however, you are more interested in sound quality than what a record looks like then it's worth reading on.

 

This particular record still retains a sheen, but viewing it under a 60W light bulb it looks as though it has been used as an ice skating rink on more than one occasion, Both sides of the vinyl are covered in scratches and scuffs. The majority of the scratches are hairline, though there are one or two larger ones and there are scuffs on both sides. Nothing heavy though, and certainly no gouges or anything like that.

 

As far as sound quality is concerned, this record really is beyond belief. It has to be said, it looks pretty awful. Yet it still plays great with only light background noise in places. Please note though, i have only play graded the 'A' side.

 

The 'A' side label is fine. A little grubby perhaps, (but the majority of this label is white and this record is 53 years old, so, worth bearing in mind). There are no rips, tears or writing and all text is easily readable. The 'B' side label though, well, it's the reason i took a photo of this side as well. Easier to see than explain. The white area is covered in scribbling.  

 

Overall, this is still a decent record. It may look far from new, but what it lacks in the looks department it certainly makes up for with it's sound quality. This is quite a rare & sought after record that rarely comes up for sale on ebay or anywhere else in any condition, One may come up for sale in a year's time that looks great, but there is every chance it will not sound as good as this copy. We've all bought records that look 'fantastic' only to discover they play atrociously. This record is the exact opposite.

This record will be sent in a plain white paper sleeve. I don't have too many Vogue company sleeves and i've temporarily run out of white card sleeves, but it's the record here that's important.

 

I have now had to put a postage charge of £1.90 for my records. This charge stays the same whether you were to buy 1 or 10 of my records. It is 1st Cass (Recorded) and it covers me against possible buyer's who claim items have not been received when, in fact, they have. To offset this cost i have now lowered my starting price from £1.99 to £0.99p. I am not out to make a fortune, just to give still decent records decent new homes where they will be appreciated.
