Description
Sibelius Violin Concerto Ricci LSO Fjeldstad UK Decca WBG BB ED1 Stereo SXL 2077 LP
Virtuoso Violinist Ruggiero Ricci, Rare audiophile UK 1st pressing on the Decca Wide Band Grooved "Original Recording" Stereo Label SXL 2077
Visually under very bright light the vinyl has numerous wispy sleeve removal paper scuff traces, and light play traces. The record has been cleaned on my Okki Nokki machine, and plays bright and bold, with crisp sound. Has good rich full tone, as is to be expected of a top quality early Decca Stereo Recording. There is some regular light background surface noise (particularly to the start of side 1), and numerous background ticks here and there. Occasional click. A couple of passages of repeating ticks. Side 2 plays better. An enjoyable audio experience, Overall audio - VG+
The labels are clean, numerous light spindle traces VG+
The laminate blue back flip-back sleeve, has some general wear and discolouration, see photos. VG+/EX-
