Description

Sick Things – Committed to Suicide / Police 7”

#2 of 300, 1981 Australian punk kbd

Side A: Committed to Suicide

Side B: Police

The Sick Things are an important, but mostly unknown, entity in the Australian punk scene. They played from 1980 to 1981 with the attitude of the first wave of punk bands but their music had the speed and ferocity of the emerging hardcore bands.

Members from this Melbourne band would eventually appear in Venom P Stinger, Fungus Brains, The Moodists, and the Dirty Three, while the singer would die of cancer in 2004.

This is the original pressing (made from 1981 recordings) on Max Cass in 1985, and is number 2 of only 300 pressed. The oversized cover is slightly creased but the vinyl is in near mint condition.
