 SIDDHA

A Very Gentle Force

 Made in USA

 (CIRCA 1975)

Jagad Guru Chris Butler's spiritual quest began in his teens.  He founded the Haiku Meditation Center in Hawaii.  By the time he was only 20 years old, he was widely recognized throughout the Hawaiian Islands and the West Coast of America as a self-realized yogi and master of the astanga and kundalin yoga systems.

The outstanding album cover features a hand holding a lotus flower in the center with "Siddha A very Gentle Force" on the top and This world/a differend world" on the base all in gold on a solid black background.  The back cover features a message from Siddha, dated November 27, 1975 in gold letters on a blue background..

Ultra rare privately released psych album from Los Angeles in mint condition. Comes complete with insert and 16-page book and insert sheet. Housed in beautiful glossy black sleeve with embossed golden lettering.

One side titled "this world", and one side titled "a different world". Instruments used include guitar, keyboards, synthesizer and flute on one track, violin on one track, and harmonica on one track. Theres sound effects in some parts including what sounds like a cat meowing in an alleyway and ocean sounds. Its a real trippy listen. Comes with a 14 page booklet which includes a 2 page interview with siddha about the record, and a 12 inch poster insert which has a picture of some indian ladies in fog on one side and the back has people who played instruments on it.

GRADING SCALE:

MINT ---- It should appear to be perfect. No scuffs or scratches, blotches or stains, labels or writing, tears or splits. Mint means perfect.

NEAR MINT ---- Otherwise mint but has one or two tiny inconsequential flaws that do not affect play. Covers should be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident: slight ring-wear, minor denting to a corner, or writing on the cover should all be noted properly.

EXCELLENT---- The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully. Not too far from perfect. On a disc, there may be light paper scuffs from sliding in and out of a sleeve or the vinyl or some of the original luster may be lost. A slight scratch that did not affect play would be acceptably Excellent for most collectors.

VERY GOOD ---- Record displays visible signs of handling and playing, such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scratches, groove wear and spindle trails. Some audible surface noise, but should not overwhelm the musical experience. Usually a cover is VG when one or two of these problems are evident: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc.

GOOD ---- Well played with little luster and significant surface noise. Despite defects, record should still play all the way through without skipping. Several cover flaws will be apparent, but should not obliterate the artwork.

POOR ---- Any record or cover that does not qualify for the above "Good" grading should be seen as Poor. Several cover flaws.
