Description
A rare 12" vinyl LP album from the Racine, Wisconsin, Italian-American musical act the Ricchio Trio titled Around the World with the Ricchio Trio, released probably in the 1960s or 1970s (?) on the Chase Records label. The Ricchio Trio consisted of Bill Gene, Frank Ricchio, and Oscar Ricchio. On this album, Mel Lamar plays guitar.
This record is collectible because it is signed as follows, in pen on the back of the cardboard sleeve:"To Frank / We wish you Good Health and a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year / The Ricchio Trio." "Frank," here, is Frank Balistrieri (1918-1993) of the Balistrieri family noted in the history of organized crime in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a family whose story is partly told in the 1995 Martin Scorsese film Casino. Until recently, this item was kept in the office of Frank Balistrieri's son John J. Balistrieri (1948-2024) in the historic Shorecrest Hotel high-rise on Milwaukee's East Side, overlooking Lake Michigan. Frank Balistrieri was friends with the Ricchio Trio.
Tracks: "Around the World," "I Left My Heart in San Francisco," "As Long as You Are There," "Rolling Stone," "Miairiou," "By the Waters of Minnetonka," "Hot Canary," "Down for the Count," "Days of Wine and Roses," "Just for Now," "More."
I have not play-tested this record, but it appears to be in excellent shape, lightly used. Only slight handling wear to cardboard sleeve. There is no paper inner sleeve. See images, which are of the actual item, not stock photos.
This item is part of a collection of unique and authentic Balistrieri memorabilia available on this account. Please watch this account for related items.
