Description

1974
'Exotic Birds and Fruit' ... widely-held to be the runner-up masterpiece (after 1970's 'Home') from 'Old Testament' Procol
White label, artist's copy

Tracks

(Side A) Reference tone only

(Side B) The Thin End of The Wedge, Monsieur R Monde, Fresh Fruit, Butterfly Boys, New Lamps for Old

Signed by Gary Brooker on Side B with purple Sharpie, and with the word 'Parrots' .. no doubt alluding to the Jakob Bogdani artwork on the printed sleeve of the published record

Signature added in my presence on 17 September 2021 at the Brooker residence. The record comes from Gary's own collection ... winner will be the second owner only.

Also featured, Gary's handwritten Post-It note listing contents

Dusty, but seemingly unplayed. Marks on photo are probably reflections of the photographer's hands etc.

Cardboard sleeve marked 'Side II', and rubber-stamped 22 Feb 1974; paper sleeve stamped 22 (illegible) 1974

We're automatically donating half the takings from this sale to The Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital, at the request of Gary Brooker's widow

So ... please bid generously !
