J.R.R. Tolkien Soundbook - Case with 4 LP Records ( Caedmon Soundbook SBR101 )
The first picture shows the four records in this set. Each record comes in its own separate jacket as originally released. Three of the records have never been used or opened and are still sealed in plastic in their jackets. The fourth record (the Poems and Songs) is still covered with the original plastic, just slit on the edge where the record comes out, the paper sleeve is in great condition, and the record was only played a couple of times and is also in great condition. The second picture shows the set case that holds all four records. Each record contains selected readings by Tolkien from the books in the record title as follows:
Record 1 - The Silmarillion of Beren and Luthien as read by Christopher Tolkien - TC1564 (1977) - Sealed.
Record 2 - J.R.R. Tolkien reads and sings his The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring - TC1477 (1975) - Sealed.
Record 3 - J.R.R. Tolkien reads and sings his The Two Towers and The Return of the King - TC1478 (1975) - Sealed.
Record 4 - Poems and Songs of Middle Earth - TC1231 (1967) - Open but in excellent condition. "Poems in English
and Elvish from the Lord of the Rings and the Adventures of Tom Bombadil read by J.R.R. Tolkien".
Case - Sturdy and solid, no broken seams, only minor shelf wear and a little creasing of the paper along one edge.
I am not a collector or dealer in vinyl records. Please examine the pictures and description carefully. I don't want a buyer to be disappointed in the item or its condition when received. I will try to quickly respond to any questions you might have but I am only on the internet for a couple of hours once a day and will not be on at all on Sunday.
