Description
From my own collection that I'm down-sizing . . .
I got these two albums on release in the UK, and at the time was also keeping cuttings on the band from NME as well so they are included as well. You'll know that both albums only had one vinyl pressing and have never been re-released.
The debut album Silver Sun is on Polydor 537-208-1 The sleeve has a bit of minor rubbing from shelfwear and a couple of slight creases if you look very closely, but the front still has the original hype sticker in place. There is one blemish that I only remembered when I got the sleeve out just now, which is a tear near the top of front right edge. There was some sellotape on the inside keeping it neatly together but as it was starting to peel I've now removed it. The sleeve is a very busy design, which is why I almost missed seeing the tear, and so if you wanted to now repair it properly yourself it should then be virtually invisible. I've included very close-up pictures of the tear and the crease. The inner sleeve shows slight signs of handling but other than that is excellent. The vinyl looks shiny and new with no blemishes. I've got the album on CD so the vinyl wasn't actually played much so is nearly mint. I've just put on sections to try using a Pro-ject deck and it is a good pressing that plays really well.
The second album Neo Wave is on Polydor PY 281 The sleeve is excellent with just a touch of minor shelfwear, and with the original hype sticker on the front. The inner sleeve looks like new. The vinyl again looks shiny and new with no blemishes. I've also got this album on CD as well so the vinyl wasn't actually played much so is also nearly mint. I've just put on sections to try using a Pro-ject deck and again it is a good pressing that plays really well.
The press cuttings are five articles, a review of each album, and some live reviews (see pic).
I'll packaged everything very carefully and they will go out in the UK with free signed P+P.
