Description

Silvertone 5080 Coal Creek March by Floyd Russell  / Home Sweet Home by Louis Watson

You are bidding on a Silvertone 78 from 1927. The artist is listed as Floyd Russell, who is better know as Marion Underwood. This version has been called one of the best mountain style banjo playing and is accompanied by a guitar. It was recorded April 1927 in Richmond and is 5080-A in the Silvertone catalog.
The "B" side is "Home Sweet Home" by Louis Watson ("Old Time Banjo Playin") accompanied by the Southern Broadcasters.
I am NOT a professional record grader!  I rate the record as VG, both sides appear scratch and smudge free. On the "B" side there are 2 little surface chips along the outside edge but don't extend into the grooves.
The Label is in VG condition with minimal wear and no tears.
The paper sleeve has no rips or tears but does has an impression left by the record.
This is a perfect present for a banjo buff who is interested in early banjo recordings.
Good Luck and Happy Bidding!
