Description

Superb, to my ears unequalled account by Simon Rattle & the LPO with Willard White & Cynthia Haymon of Gershwins Porgy & Bess 3LP Scarce set. Audiophile DMM sound has a wider dynamic range than the Maazel decca set (despite its tas listing), and probably a better all round cast. First German EMI Direct Metal Master from 1989, with the cd sized booklet, as standard by then, with the moulded insert for it to sit in.

Plays near mint, heard at least some of all sides, most of several just because it is so pleasurable a recording.

Box is excellent, vinyl also visually near mint.
