Description
When "Don't You Forget About Me" became a smash worldwide hit for Simple Minds from the Breakfast Club soundtrack, the band realized they needed a strong followup album. The result was Once Upon a Time, the 1985 album which featured "Alive and Kicking," the song that powered radio airplay and served as a concert highlight.
LouderSound.com wrote: "These are more than songs – they're clarion calls, sung out loud and clear by a Jim Kerr brimming with the confidence of a man who has woken up." Nov 27, 2015
Signed to Virgin Records in London, but A&M Records in the US, this special gold flake picture disc was produced in limited amounts in the UK, but never in the US.
The record has not been removed from the special 3 mil plastic sleeve and is unplayed. Due to the open circle of the album cover, some tearing of the cardboard has occurred. Hence the lower price.
The 40-year-old virgin vinyl will be carefully packed and shipped.
