Simply Red - Life: vinyl, 1995 Germany.. The pros - the cover is fine. Side 2 of the vinyl is excellent; The cons - side one, under daylight, shows a few very slight ‘scratches’ or lines, I’m confident these aren’t from the stylus but are the result of, either, cleaning with an inappropriate cloth or from mishandling the record when taking it out of the paper sleeve. It’s bamboozling that it’s only evidenced on one side of the record. Actually getting these lines photographed was a task in itself as any slight movement, the light hits the vinyl at a different angle and they can’t be seen anymore. The amount of photos I’ve taken is a record for me but it was essential to at least try and capture a true representation. This record is very popular and collectible, the discog median or average price is over £50. My starting bid of £35 was eBay’s recommendation, reflecting the level at which other sellers had set their opening bid
