Description
Siouxsie and the Banshees -- Through the Looking Glass LP 1st US 1987 pressing on Geffen, pre-owned. Original printed inner sleeve with band photos and album credits. I purchased this album in the late 80s brand new, though it was cut-out. There is a cut-out notch on the upper left corner of the outer sleeve, and just slightly affecting the inner sleeve. A common practice with record stores in the 1980s that doesn't greatly affect value, condition, and certainly not vinyl quality. I only played the record a few times as I tended to record records to cassette, and then listen to the cassette instead. Vinyl is NM. Outer sleeve is VG+ (this would be NM too, except for the cut-out). Inner sleeve is VG, it has a slight notch from the cut-out, and some splitting on three edges from the vinyl, commensurate with a 37 year old record; other than that, the inner sleeve looks very good. This is one of the best covers albums ever released (IMO), featuring covers of Iggy Pop's "The Passenger" and Bob Dylan's "This Wheel's on Fire," both of which were released as singles and had promotional videos. Siouxsie and the Banshees really made each track their own, adding different instrumentation and Siouxsie's superb vocals.
