Description
I’m selling this Siouxsie poster as it’s been too long in storage and deserves a new home.
I bought it for the aesthetic: I love the art-nouveau lettering and the provocative Japanese war flag, and of course the queen herself. It looks like it’s screen printed - royal blue on white slightly glossy paper.
Dimensions: 41.5cm wide, 56cm long
I think it must have been produced as a promotional poster for the Live album of the Elephant Fayre festival performance, 1982, as the LP has the same artwork. I picked this up in Glasgow in a record shop many many years ago, so I don’t know its history.
It’s condition is very good – there’s a nick to the paper that you can see on the back (3rd photo to the right of the one pound coin), but luckily you can’t see it at all on the front, and the edges are all pristine with no drawing pin holes or tape marks. There are a few very mild mildew marks at the bottom – I’ve tried to show these accurately in the photos: they’re most visible above the “Fayre fes” bit but as you can see they aren’t that bad.
I’d prefer the buyer picks up so as to prevent possible damage in transit – but if posted, the poster will be rolled up in a tube.
I intend to ship royal mail UK special delivery as it is insured and tracked, and will get to you next day.
