You may have seen a similar photo to this before,if you are a Slade Fan you probably have,but this particular Picture(33" x23")is a mounted Photo on a board,in one piece so to speak,The negative had sat in a colleagues desk for about 18 years,he had taken the original Photos for the Crackers Shoot,and this actual negative had not made the final short-list for inclusion on the Record cover or for any other publicity,a few similar ones off the same shoot have surfaced,but NEVER this Negative.Therefore this is a genuine Slade Rarity,a must have for a real Fan.My colleague had never realised that i was a Slade Fan,and he certainly wasn't one,when chatting about the 70s one day he mentioned to me about his little Desk Drawer collection,months later he had got it blown up for me and mounted.I feel a bit guilty selling it on,but the truth is that i dont love Slade like i once did,plus myt Wife is tired of looking at it,we have it mounted over the Stairs,you will see from the Photo how big it is!I also feel it reinforces the vSlade sterotype,which i never liked,they were always a better band than people gave them credit for,DEFINITELY the BEST Band of the 70s anyway,and deserve to be remembered for more than a Christmas novelty act.That being said i reckon that a Slade fan out there would love to add this to their collection,im hoping it goes to a TRUE fan.KOR.
