up for bid are 2 Slayer Vinyl Albums. Both are originals from the first year they were released - not reissues from later on..
1. Slayer - Hell Awaits 1985 Metal Blade/Combat Records (MX 8020) U.S. Second pressing - also from original year of 1985.
awesome thin semi-translucent charcoal brown vinyl only made on this pressing! (see photo #3) (you have to hold it up to a light to really see it) - Metal Blade Labels not Combat version. This release contains the first version of the 'chain' labels used from 1985 to mid 1986.
Later versions had a different handle on the axe. this version only had a generic white inner sleeve. Sleeve/Cover a G+ shows wear for sure. Vinyl is a better VG+ typical play wear associated with this grade, but a great copy!
2. Slayer - Reign In Blood 1986 Def Jam Records (GHS 24131) U.S.
First Pressing with original inner sleeve with lyrics on 1 side, and def jam logo on other. the next time it was repressed on vinyl in the U.S. was on the American Recordings label. Inner Sleeve is not in great condition - slpit open mostly..a survivor at best. but it's here! Sleeve/Cover a G+ shows wear Vinyl is much better at a VG+ - nice copy of a legendary album!
