Description

Sleepy John Estes - Married Woman Blues + Drop Down Mama.

An Original Pair of Metal Master/Mother Stampers produced by Decca Records in 1935.

These are the original positive metal master stampers used for the pressing of these 2 legendary pre war blues sides issued in the USA in 1935 by Decca Records (90175-A/90175-A) !!

In the early 1960s when Swaggie Records in Australia planned to release a series of Sleepy John Estes recordings they approached Decca records in the USA for permission, as well as permission they were sent the full archive of Sleepy John Estes Master Discs which they no longer felt they required. These are from that very archive, they are totally unique and remarkable survivors, if not for the request from Swaggie these discs would have surely been melted down for scrap !!

These discs are mothers so can be played on a standard 78rpm player.

100% Genuine Pre War Blues Master Stampers !!

Both are in in VG Condition.
