Small Faces - self-titled (1st Immediate album)
Original 1967 mono vinyl LP, on Immediate.
Disc grades as Good. A lot of light hairlines, and a few light scratches and marks, but it tracks just fine throughout on my deck. A little light surface noise, with some crackles and clicks and pops here and there, mainly at the start of each side, but the music shines through. Mostly, the disc plays better than it looks. However, unfortunately, there is a pronounced hiss for a few revolutions at the start of track A5, and there is some noticeable groove damage during the last two tracks on side B, resulting in some intermittent audible distortion - possibly the result of having been played with a dodgy stylus at one point. The labels have a lot of spindle marks, but otherwise they remain relatively crisp and clean.
Sleeve grades as a strong Good. Some wear along the edges and corners of the non-laminated flipback sleeve, as well as some ringwear noticeable on the front. The spine has some wear, but is still legible. There is a tiny split to the bottom seam, but it doesn’t seem too serious (see image 5).
Not a perfect copy, but a decent collection filler of a collectible original pressing, or a cheap playing copy for the less fussy listener.
