Description

This is a UK original pressing of 'Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake' by the Small Faces, complete with the fold-out 5-panel sleeve.


This has lilac labels with the writing credits separate from the track titles, thus indicating a very early pressing. This is confirmed by the '1'' mothers on both sides, an 'A' stamper on side 1 and an 'R' stamper on side 2.


The cover is immaculate with virtually no signs of wear or tear, all seams intact, and no separation of the panels at all. It also comes complete with the original semi-circular polythene inner sleeve. I have had a few UK originals pass through my hands, and this is, by far, the best cover that I have ever seen.


The vinyl is also in nice condition. Both playing surfaces look near-mint under normal lighting. Under a bright LED light, I can see some light marbling in the deadwax area where the vinyl has reacted with the polythene sleeve, but as this is in the deadwax, it doesn't affect playback, which is loud and clear. There is a light touch of surface noise, but this is only noticeable in-between tracks, not during the music itself. Otherwise, no pops, tics or skips.
