This particular record is in my view is playable, HOWEVER , whilst Its certainly playable – if you wanted to really appreciate these tunes and hear them properly you would be better off getting a repress as the playback would be much better. 

Its not that crackly, and actually looks quite clean  other than a few small scratch marks. There is one that looks quite significant on SIDE 2 (photographed) - but remarkably - it actually it plays through without any clicks or sticks.

However, the actual pressing does sound quite 'muddy' . In between the tracks you have some dialogue (Stanley Unwin talking nonsense) and in these sections there is a LOT of background noise (i would in fact say - its more foreground noise with Stanley in the background). Same on quite sections of the tracks EG: start of afterglow. The quieter sections are UNPLAYABLE, but the lounder sections you could get away with. 

When the actual tracks kick in, you don't really notice any noise, but its still quite a woolly muffled sound. I've cleaned it, with a mild detergent and microfibre cloths, but sure if it was professionally cleaned it would sound better.

SO if you are bidding on this – your really bidding for the  aesthetic value of the classic shaped tobaccos tin cover, label etc and to own it as part of collection. Its a 'hang on the wall' album and an interesting moment in this great bands history. 

The cover itself is in great condition in my opinion considering its age. Its beautiful artwork and the circular cover is intact. I've looked this up and as far as i can tell this is a 1975 re issue
