Can't believe I'm getting rid of this one. Digging one day at a local spot, I ran across an enormous cache of incredible Ghanaian records. All of the covers looked incredible, the music was a mix of afrobeat, highlife, and jazz records. Upon getting home I was overly joyed as each of the records opened up a new world of music that I'd never been confronted with. One of these major finds is the record being offered. Originally a member of the Sweet Talks Band, Nkansah disappeared into obscurity after the group disbanded due to managerial disagreements. Shortly after he would return with many of the same band-members under the name of The Black Hustlers. What would ensue was an incredible output of top-notch highlife. These recordings are incredibly scarce, even in the mother country in which they were recorded. Furthermore, these records were generally pressed poorly and overused as party records at local dances. Fortunately, the person from whose collection this record emerged was an audiophile and took impeccable care of these records. That being said, the record and cover show some signs of wear but play beautifully. In my years of buying records, I've never once found an African record that plays this strongly. Furthermore, as highlife goes, one can't do much better than this outfit, The Black Hustlers are far and above the rest so as the back of the cover proclaims "Let's hustle with them."

Cover/Record Condition: VG(due to splits in the seam, but the cover is very much still intact)/VG+(shows marks but plays like EX+ really a great listen with very little audible noise!)
