Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
1994 US pressing on Caroline Records. Includes original printed inner sleeve in VG+ condition. This is from my personal collection and sounds great. VG+ vinyl and very strong VG+ cover; see photos. Vinyl plays through with no skips and minor surface noise. There are some clicks/pops here and there which is due to non-fill (look it up.) I would imagine that most of the copies in this edition suffer from this as it was pressed by Rainbo Records and they did not put out the best quality product. This same company pressed the 2011 remastered edition and that had the same issues; I know because I ran through 3 copies before I just gave up on it entirely. Having said that, the sound quality is great on this record. If you don't mind a click here and a pop there (it is by no means the ONLY thing you hear, I think I'm just a little more unforgiving than most in this area) than this is the record for you.
Also, just FYI on this album in general, this is the 1994 US reissue. There is also a 1994 UK reissue with cat. # HUTLPX 2A/B on the center label, which is black/white with HUT printed on it.
These are NOT original 1991 pressings. The original UK pressing from HUT has cat. # HUTLP 2A/B (no X as in the 1994 version) and the original US pressing has cat # CARLP 16 on the center labels, as opposed to CAROL 1705 like this version. You can also take note of the "Caroline" logo at the bottom center of the back cover. The original is an all uppercase serif font only, not like this version that has an all lowercase sans serif font contained in a box. The HUT pressing has HUT in that spot. Please just know what you're buying.
