THE SMASHING PUMPKINS "MELLON COLLIE AND THE INFINITE SADNESS" 1996 TRIPLE VINYL LP RELEASE NUMBERED EDITION #3586.

I purchased this album back in '96.  I have only played it once, the day I bought it.  It has sat on my record shelf ever since.  Very nice packaging.  There is a small crack in the spine, but nothing major. Everything else is in perfect condition.  It has the original inner sleeves (just the usual UK sleeves) and the lyric book.

The names of the A- till F-sides differ from the 2CD release of Mellon Collie. On the MCIS LP the song order is also re-arranged, and it adds two songs (one exclusive to this edition). Infinite Sadness is a Siamese Dream era left-over. The list of the names of the sides is as follows. Dawn, Tea Time, Dusk, Twilight, Midnight & Starlight.

At www.SPFC.org it states: "The 3LP version of MCIS was originally solicited in February of 1996 as a limited-to-5000, numbered edition. When it was finally released in April, it was allegedly limited to 15,000. Since that time, numbers above 18,000 have been confirmed, leaving open the question of how many copies were actually pressed. In late 1998, the MCIS 3LP was repressed. The new pressing is unnumbered (leaving the number box empty), and the sleeve is made of flimsier material."
