"Siamese Dream" is the second album by the American alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins, released on July 27, 1993 on Virgin Records. The album fused diverse influences such as shoegazing, psychedelic rock, dream pop, noise pop, classic rock, heavy metal and progressive rock.  "Siamese Dream" was recorded mainly between December 1992 and March 1993. The band relocated to Triclops Studios in Marietta, Georgia for the album sessions, so they could avoid local friends and distractions and to cut Chamberlin off from his known drug connections. Butch Vig reprised his role as producer after working on their debut album "Gish". "Siamese Dream" debuted at #10 on the Billboard charts, sold over four million copies in the U.S. and over six million world-wide, cementing The Smashing Pumpkins as a major force in the alternative rock movement. Four hit singles were released in support of "Siamese Dream" : "Cherub Rock", "Today", "Disarm" and "Rocket". The album was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album, and the group was nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance with Vocal at the Grammy Awards for 1994. In the November 2003 Rolling Stone magazine issue of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time", "Siamese Dream" was ranked at # 360. It is widely considered to be one of the finest albums of the 1990's. This is the ORIGINAL 1993 US Gatefold Double Vinyl "Maroon" Pressing on the Caroline / Virgin Record label. Catalog # on the spine is: carol 1740 1   0170 4 61740 1 5.  Bar code matrix # is: 0 1740-61740-1 5. Vinyl is graded visually by Goldmine standards as NEAR MINT/UNPLAYED. Second vinyl appears un-played due to the wax still inside the spindal hole. Please see pictures. Sleeve is also graded as NEAR MINT, as it is also stored in a Japanese acetate protective sleeve. I have NEVER PLAYED these vinyl's knowing how rare they were. I also have this on cd. Record has been stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 (has not even seen the light in over 7 years) and comes from a smoke / pet free home.
