Description

This is an ultra rare 12" promo which was issued on the Sire label (Catalogue No. PRO-A-2571) and as a promo for the Queen Is Dead album.  This song was never actually released as a single at the time, and only a very small number of these promos were made.  It is a one-track promo release and the sleeve is the same as the Queen Is Dead design, but a lighter shade of green, with "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" replacing the "Queen Is Dead" wording of the album sleeve.  The rear of the sleeve is white with the words "Promotional Copy. Not for Sale".  Both the sleeve and vinyl are in excellent condition, and is very rarely seen for sale.  It was rated at #11 in the Record Collector top Smiths collectables in 1992, and is a must for any serious Smiths collection.
