Description
Here is a very nice copy of the 1959 first press of Snooks Eaglin New Orleans Street Singer on Folkways FA 2476. The label shows a “117 W. 46th St.” address and “Custom molded by Plastylite” at the bottom of the label that is typical of 1959 releases on Folkways Records. There is a Plastylite “ear” in the dead wax. The booklet for this LP is missing.
This record has been cleaned and play-graded. The record surfaces are rated as VG; it is rated this low because there is a tick on the last track on Side 2, but most tracks have quiet surfaces. This copy doesn’t have any booklet inside the album. The record cover is in VG condition - the covers show the usual wear and yellowing and there is sticker residue and minor tearing on the upper right corner of the front cover (see photos). There is minimal ring wear. The spine and seams are intact. The labels are clean and unmarked with very little spindle wear.
This record is from my personal collection and I have decided it’s now time to start selling most of my records. I bought this LP in Used condition around 50 years ago and it has been carefully stored and occasionally played since. Please see my
