Description
Snoopy Dean – Wiggle That Thing – Blue Candle LP 55057 (US)
No introduction necessary. An original copy of one of the holy grails of Miami Soul and Funk – admittedly, there are a few – in absolute top condition! Snoopy Dean’s 1977 LP on Blue Candle is a scarce one; if you need a copy, this is the time to strike!
As a collector, I always hope to strike first on a rare one myself, so I’ve added a “Buy It Now!” option at what I hope is a fair price considering the condition and rarity of this record.
Snippets of all tracks are available below. Curiously, the killers on this album are all on the B-side; fast forward to tracks 5-8 for the fantastic ballad ‘Black Bird’ and the superb funk of ‘Let Me Taste Your Love’. ‘We’ll Try Again’ is astonishing, too!
Condition: the disc is in excellent to near mint condition; a little dust, that’s all (please listen to the clips). There’s a very slight warp, but it absolutely does not affect the playing of the record, and is, in fact, not noticeable at all as you play the flip. The cover is in VG++ condition; clean but with only the faintest traces of wear and fraying around the edges. There’s a cut-out hole in the top right-hand corner and there’s some slight damage to the cover around it (please see close-up scans). No seam splits. The labels are perfectly clean (please see scans). Please not that the images are only partial; my scanner cannot accommodate album-sized items.
Track listing:
A1. “Baby, Wiggle That Thing”
A2. “Shake What You Got”
A3. “Hot Thing”
A4. “Walking On Air”
B1. “Black Bird”
B2. “Honey Put Your Trust In Me”
B3. “Let Me Taste Your Love”
B4. “We’ll Try Again”
Please reply within three days after auction close. Payment via Paypal expected within five days. Will not be held responsible for uninsured parcels.
Shipping this album: $14.00 to all European destinations, $15.50 to the rest of the world (this includes a $2.00 surcharge for extra-size items). Registered and insured shipping (with a tracking number) is an additional US $16.00 to cover the full value of this record. These are quotes from Swedish Post, nothing has been added to them.
Shipping from Sweden is expensive – though I notice the rest of the world is catching up – not least due to the fact that the weight increments are few and far apart, but it’s usually swift and safe.
American bidders, kindly note that shipping to the US is definitely not US $4.00; this is eBay’s default setting and not applicable as I am based in Sweden. Please wait for my invoice. Thank you!
Happy to answer any questions!
