Description

Soccer Mommy - Sometimes, Forever - Vinyl LP - Pre Order - Released 24th June 2022 The highly anticipated follow-up to Soccer Mommy’s critically acclaimed “color theory” (2020): Produced by Daniel Lopatin (Oneohtrix Point Never), recent production credits include: The Weeknd “Dawn FM”, Uncut Gems OST, Good Times OST, and more!  "Sometimes, Forever” refers to the idea that the good and bad are both temporary and always returning. Feelings of sorrow and emptiness will pass but they will always come back around, as will feelings of joy. This album explores many ups and downs. This album cements Sophie Allison’s status as one of the most gifted songwriters making rock music right now. It sees Allison once again tapping into the turn-of-the-millennium sensibilities she’s known for, as she advances her self-made sonic world beyond the present and into the future with experimental-minded production, an expanded moodboard of vintage touchstones, and some of her most sophisticated songwriting to date “[Soccer Mommy’s] deep soul mining strikes gold” **** - Mojo “Soccer Mommy feels like the real deal” **** - Mojo Sunday Times Culture (lead) - “a chorus like a burst of colour” The Observer – “a killer 90s guitar-drenched chorus”
