Description

I grew up in LA and was fortunate enough to have been into punk from '81 to '86-ish when shows were really wild, police were out of hand, and everything still had a very fresh, raw energy. I have a ton of records from back then – a lot of them original pressings. Generally, I'd buy an album, record it to cassette, and then listen to the cassette to limit wear and tear on the vinyl, so most of what I have is in very good shape.

This specific 7” from 1982 featuring "1945" (aka Atom Bomb), "Under My Thumb," and "Playpen" is in very good condition. The cover has very slight folds in the two lower corners, and the vinyl itself has no scratches, scuffs or defects that would affect play.

After a couple years of lurking, listening to Rodney on theROQ every Sunday night, I finally ventured out to my first punk gig in the summer of 1983. It was Social Distortion at the Cathay de Grande on Argyle and Selma in Hollywood. The experience was a rude awakening to what could result from the decision to actually go to a punk show back then. The special bonus you’ll get if you buy this record from me is the story of what happened that night.

Social Distortion were:

  • Mike Ness (lead vocals, guitar)
  • Dennis Danell (guitar)
  • Brent Liles (bass)
  • Derek O’Brien (drums)

I have a 100% positive seller rating for a reason: I'm honest and up-front about what I'm selling, I package things well to make sure it arrives in the same condition as what you saw in the ad, I try to get things shipped as soon as possible after payment, and I communicate to make sure that you know what's going on.
