Description
Social Distortion Mommy’s Little Helper LP. This is a special release. After a bit of research and discussions with a few big fans, this is a first press version, with a test proof sleeve. The sleeve has an unfinished back, but the cover art is normal. It is not a gatefold, like the first press. This was probably for people of the label or the band, possibly for record reviewers. After some discussions with big fans and collectors, there is not a known test pressing so this would be for the band or label to review, or possibly for a journalist.
The label has designed and customized coloring or art, as the original record label is covered up by this, probably to also designate this as a promo or special copy. Most importantly the matrix matches exactly the first pressing on 13th Floor Records, tried to capture it with a picture. (See all the details on Discogs about the first pressing matrix).
The cover is VG+, LP is Excellent shape, the labels have been customized. One fan suggested possibly the band themselves colored over the label. If anyone has any other info please message me.
Postage will be media mail. I use hard cardboard boxes designed to mail records, with plastic stiffners for added support. Packages mailed next business day at the latest, 99% of the time. Please consider having the package delivered where someone will be available to receive it. US addresses ONLY please. Please contact me if you are outside of the US as I will not risk sending records to many countries and will not falsify customs documents.
