Here's an extremely rare self-released West Coast record from 1973 that reminds me a great deal of Boco's "Running the Mardi Gras." The group was led by Alexander Love, who released a much slicker LP, Pieces of Love, a few years later. The only other bit of information I've been able to find about Solid Gold after months of research and asking around is this article from May 11, 1973 in a local Los Angeles-area newspaper, which basically just says that they were active in the clubs at the time. The record is in VG+ to excellent condition and is autographed on the label by Love and the other band members. This is the only copy I have ever seen in many years of digging and collecting in Los Angeles.
