This is the Book-of-the-Month Club edition released in the States, of Solti’s fine work with the Beethoven symphonies recorded during his tenure at Chicago.
Extraordinary performances, each and every one, the Ninth recognized by TAS for its performance and sound excellence.
Box of this edition has a slight chip in the spine (see photo); otherwise, is clean, with one corner split, but neatly so. Inside, are 9 LPs that should play near mint. Of the 18 sides, one scuff of consequence.
Amid the finest sounding Beethoven sets ever released.
