(Decca SXL 2031-2 UK 2LP Box Set 1958)

This is a UK original ED1 Stereo 2 LP Box Set pressing. The Box has a laminated front panel & textured grey back board & edges. It has a red spine. The records come with their original company "FFSS" polythene-lined inner sleeves. It also comes with its original libretto/ booklet.

The records are pressed on thick vinyl & have ED1 Decca labels. These have the "Original Recordings By" text on them. The labels are grooved also. The records has 1st press ZAL-3659-1E, ZAL-3662-1E, ZAL-3660-3K and ZAL-3661-1E matrix stampers. Side 1 and Side 4 are on one LP. Side 2 and Side 3 are on the other LP. 



Box: There is a 1.5 cm seam split to the seam at the top right corner tip. This is on the front part of the box only. There is a small stain on the back panel at the bottom spine area. There is some light or mild rubbing wear in some areas too. VG condition

Vinyl 1: There are some light to mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 4 hairline marks. VG condition. The labels are in excellent+ condition & show very light spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Near EX condition. There is some light to very mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. There are two small marks near the start of Side 1. This cause some clicks for approx 30 seconds. There is another small mark later on Side 1. This causes some light clicks for approx 20 seconds. Otherwise, It plays VG to VG+ overall, & near excellent in some places. There is some light or very mild crackle in some quieter places.

Vinyl 2: There are some light to mild sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are some light to mild polythene-inner sleeve marks in some places. There is also a minor warp. It does not affect playback. VG condition. The labels are in excellent+ condition & show very light spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Near EX condition. There is some light to very mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP & it plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are a couple of light clicks, in two separate areas, near the end of Side 2.

The Libretto/ Booklet is in Good condition. It is complete but several of the pages have come loose from the staples. There is some mild foxing.
