Description
The boxed set to end all: Das Rheingold, Die Walküre, Siegfried, and Götterdämmerung each in its box with libretto and notes, all four boxes then boxed in a super box which also has a little compartment for John Culshaw’s account of the project, “Ring Resounding.” Book is Viking first-edition hardcover published 1967; $7.50 jacket price intact. London pressings (OSA-1309, OSA-1508; OSA-1509; OSA-1604); all 19 LPs look excellent, and those sampled play impeccably. Box a bit rough, but intact.
Set weighs 18 lbs in carton, so suitable for foreign shipment only for the very motivated or very wealthy.
Record will be shipped by media mail for US shipments as buyer prefers, by international priority mail for foreign shipments (The U.S. post office has discontinued the old “economy letter” surface rate). Rates for foreign shipments will be quoted – a small difference in the weight of a record can add a dollar or two to the cost. Records are carefully packed in high quality mailers; returnable for refund if not as described.
