Description

Composed and conducted by the legendary John Barry, the soundtrack for the 1980 romantic fantasy film Somewhere in Time is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and emotive film scores ever written. The music perfectly captures the film's themes of timeless love and nostalgia, featuring a lush, orchestral style that has become iconic in the genre of romantic cinema. A notable inclusion is the hauntingly beautiful 18th variation of Sergei Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, which plays a central role in the film's emotional narrative. John Barry's work on this album is highly collectible, appealing to both soundtrack enthusiasts and fans of the film starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. This original US pressing on MCA Records is a must-have for any serious collector of film scores. This copy is in Excellent condition.
