Description
Walt Disney's
Song of the South
Disneyland Record
WDL 4001
33 rpm
Walt Disney's technicolor motion picture "Song of the South" had its premiere in Atlanta, Georgia on November 13, 1946. While Walt Disney had combined cartoon characters with live actors before, this was his first attempt (or anyones for that matter) to work the two mediums together in a feature length film. Uncle Remus was played by the late James Baskett. The rest of the live action cast was headed by Ruth Warrick with Boby Driscoll and Luana Patton.
This record includes the rich sounds of an orchestra directed by Tutti Camarata. Absolutely fabulous!!!
Songs include:
Song of the South: Same Coslow, Arthur Johnston
Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah: Ray Gilbert, Allie Wrubel
Uncle Remus Said: Hy Heath, Eliot Daniel
Everybody has a Laughing Place: Ray Gilbert, Allie Wruble
How Do You do: Robert MacGimsey
Sooner or Later: Ray Gilbert, Charles Wolcott
Let the Rain Pour Down: Ken Darby, Foster Carling
All I Want: Ken Darby
Condition of the Records and Case:
Tested on the record player -- both records play well. Nice record.
Case is in good condition. The color is vivid. The edges are a little worn. Overall case is in very good condition and still in its protective plastic sleeve.
Fees include a heavyweight box to properly protect your new record, insurance and tracking. Should the final shipping cost be significantly less than the estimated amount, we will refund that amount back to you.
