"Songs for Drella" Lou Reed/John Cale - 12" Vinyl LP - Sire Records 1-2614 1990 first pressing. VG+/EX
This play graded LP is a better VG+ with minimal surface noise and clear sound. The jacket is EX and still in shrink. The original inner liner with lyrics and info, is VG+ with a partial split at one edge.
The LP has been thoroughly listened to and examined for pops and tics: there is minimal lead-in noise on A1 & B1. There are some scattered tics in transitions between tracks. There are a few tics in tracks, and there are two definite pops on track A5 "Trouble With Classicists" at 0:33 & 0:34 - these lowered the grade from EX. All sound defects I found are noted.
Visual grading is EX on the LP. Visual grading is noted as a secondary consideration. It is not to be relied upon solely, as a record can look almost perfect and still have glaring surface noise with unseen pops when played. Conversely, a surface scratch may have no effect on sound. Visual defects found: Nothing of significance.
