Hey folks, I’m selling off some of my records to ‘streamline’ my collection a bit, as they say.
Some of these have been impulse buys, caught in the moment in a record shop etc, others are duplicates in my collection where I’ve maybe replaced the item I’m selling with a different pressingly edition, and some are just albums I don’t listen to anymore.
Just a quick note; as soon as I receive a new LP I stick it in a dust cover, and the discs too in an anti-static sleeve if they’re not in one already, and I don’t smoke, have pets, or kids, so they’re well looked after while they’re in my care, and stored upright in a cupboard with doors, so no exposure to sunlight or extreme temperatures etc either.
Some of them might have a little dust on them, but unless I write otherwise the discs and covers are in great condition. I certainly wouldn’t list a record that skipped or didn’t play without going into great detail.
Ok here we have an original 1988 U.K. press of Sonic Youth’s classic Daydream Nation album.
I’m not 100% sure but I think when it was new it might have come with a poster, no poster here but it does have the original Tower Records poly bag, which should please you nostalgia fans.
This is a two-disc album, both discs are in the original paper poly-lined sleeves, as you can see I spotted a couple of defects but neither of them caused any skipping when I did a play-through.
Erm...what else? Gatefold sleeve with a great photo of the band, sleeve is in great condition, just the odd bit of foxing around the spine corners but it’s been in a plastic sleeve since it’s been with me well looked after, as you can see, the biggest gripe is probably that they could do with a bit of a clean, but this is a great pressing, sounds fantastic.
A few years back I heard a modern pressing of this album and it just wasn’t as dynamic- anyway, this is an auction not a conversation, so I’ll leave it there.
