Description

Sonic Youth - Experimental Jet Set, Trash and No Star Geffen Records GEF 24632 European 1994 Original Pressing in Limited Blue Translucent Vinyl

  • Barcode: 7 20642 46321 5
  • Matrix / Runout: GEF-24632 A DMM G.P. 4.94
  • Matrix / Runout: GEF-24632 B DMM G.P.

Hard to find original pressing of Sonic Youth's eighth studio album released in 1994 where CD was king so I dare say not many sold on vinyl.  Produced by the genius Butch Vig of Nirvana fame creating a some what smoother take on the classic grunge sound.
Overall condition is very good for 23 years of age but please see below for more detail.
All of my records are play tested on a Project Debut Carbon with 2M Red stylus which is quite revealing so any sound defects may be more exaggerated than on other more mainstream players.  Or conversely if you are a full on audiophile I will let you judge how your set up compares and how you envisage the sound will compare.
I don't currently have access to a cleaning machine so please forgive any dust or finger marks which are on any of my records - hopefully will be investing in one at some point.
Record Appearance - VG+ Side 1 is flawless but on Side 2 there is a large scratch covering most of the tracks.  I have play tested it and I am happy to say that there is no effect to the sound quality so presumably it is only a graze to the gloss. Frustrating but it is a rare collectors piece and in my opinion audio quality is more important than a flawless looking record.
Record Audio - NM I failed to detect any surface noise or audio defects when playing through.  Sound quality is wonderful with a full rich sound as you would expect from an original pressing of a Butch Vig produced record.
Record Sleeve - VG+ Really strong VG+ for the sleeve with only minimal shelf wear on corners.  No obvious ring wear and spine is very crisp.  Contains a card picture sleeve with lyrics and is in great condition and contains an anti static polythene sleeve to protect the record.
All questions answered and offers considered.  Thanks for looking and please follow me and check out my other listings as they appear.  I am employed full time and have 3 children so please forgive any delay in communication but should be within 24 hours.
International buyers are welcome using the Ebay Global Shipping Programme at additional cost billed directly to you.
