Description
This is an early deep-groove RVG-stamped “P” pressing of Sonny Clark “Sonny’s Crib” on the West 63rd (no “INC.” or “New York 23”) labels of Blue Note BLP 1576. The playing surfaces have light splotches typical of records that have been long stored in their original inner sleeves but have no effect on the sound quality: Side 1 is clean and unmarked; Side 2 has a light, inaudible scratch on Track 1. The laminated cover has the 47 West 63rd St., New York 23 address and is bright and clean throughout: the top and bottom seams have ¼” wear at each corner; the spine has ¼” wear at the bottom; there are three small wear spots at the left margin of the liner notes.
