Description
Sonny Rollins - A Night At The Village Vanguard (1957)
Pressing features: Vinyl, LP, Blue Note - BLP 1581, Mono.
Vinyl grade: VG/Side 1 - Song 1 (Old Devil Moon) has 3 ticks that last about 5 seconds otherwise this record plays, to my ears, more VG+, couple light scratches. Played record several times and I don't hear any/very little background noise.
Cover type/grade: VG/one 1" split on bottom corner (see pic) and one small burn mark (cigarette ?) on back cover top (right above At)
Other contents: none.
- RVG BN-LP-1581-A
- 1st original mono issue has:
- deep grooved blue/white Blue Note Records labels with 47 West 63rd - NYC address
- No ® under the 'E' of Blue Note
- RVG stamped and "P" (otherwise wrongly called "ear") for Plastylite etched in the trail off
- front laminated cover with no address on back and blank spine
Grading scale: NM / EX / VG+ / VG / Good. We use a grading system based on the Goldmine Grading Guide to rate the records we sell. All open records are professionally washed/cleaned and we play grade all our records on quality equipment and make every effort to grade all media/sleeves accurately. LP LOTS are washed/cleaned and visually graded. We offer a money back guarantee that condition is as described. I have summarized it below.
Near Mint (NM) – Nearly perfect. Vinyl has no visible defects. Cover has no signs of wear. (I don't grade anything NM)
Excellent (EX) - Except for a few minor things, it would be NM. Vinyl imperfections are purely cosmetic. Cover has only minor signs of wear.
Very Good + (VG+) - A few more light scuffs and scratches than on an Excellent record, but the listening experience is still very nice. An occasional light pop or crackle may occur. Cover may have a defect or two (a cutout, for instance) but is otherwise very nice.
Very Good (VG) - Scratches/scuffs are more prominent, so surface noise is more frequent. Cover has many signs of human handling.
Good - Plays without skipping, but has significant surface noise. Cover imperfections are distracting.
