Side 1 and first two selections on Side 2 originally issued as Sonny Rollins - Saxophone Colossus (Prestige 7079). Recorded June 22, 1956.
"The House I Live In" originally issued as part of Sonny Rollins - Sonny Boy (Prestige 7207); the balance of sides 2 and 3 included on Sonny Rollins Quintet With Kenny Dorham And Max Roach - Rollins Plays For Bird (Prestige 7095). Recorded October 5, 1956.
Side 4 originally issued as part of Sonny Rollins Plus Four (Prestige 7038). Recorded March 22, 1956.
