Description
SONNY ROLLINS - THE SOUND OF SONNY, Riverside RLP 12-241, original white label, deep groove pressing.
Condition of record is VG++, no scuffs, no scratches, no spindle marks, plays clean & quiet. Laminated jacket shows slight wear on front, some staining & ring wear on back, small tear on back where a sticker may have been romoved, and a small ball point pen mark on back. Felt pen check mark on front, 1/4" seam split lower right. All of this is minor, this is really a beautiful copy of a very rare original pressing.
The great tenor saxophonist is joined by Sonny Clark (piano), Percy Heath, Paul Chambers (bass), Roy Haynes (drums) on this 1957 masterpiece.

VG = Very good to excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect.
G = Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.
