Description
Prestige 7047. Yellow label with 203 South Washington Ave., Bergenfield, NJ address on both labels. Deep groove. Rollins Quartet on 4 tracks. Includes Red Garland, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; “Philly” Joe Jones, drums. John Coltrane is added for 1 track (“Tenor Madness”). Some writing on label on Side B (not extensive). Cover: Mint. Like new with no aging and intact. Record: Visually, side A shows no wear. There is a minor light rub mark which does not affect the sound. No surface noise with the exception of slight groove noise at the end of track 2 and could be rated Mint(-). Side B has a “hazy” film over the entire surface. There is a small amount of light groove noise on track 1 and 3 but more pronounced on Track 2. There are no scratches, nor marks but it has “hazy” film. It could be rate VG to VG+, though at all times the playing is audible over the above mentioned groove noise. The noise is minimal on Tracks 1 and 3. Audibly checked.
