Description
This is Prestige Records PRLP 7126, Sonny Rollins Tour De Force, a yellow, 446 W.50th St. NYC, deep groove labeled, original mono issue of Sonny's first classic trio session, with RVG etched in the dead wax, featuring George Morrow and Max Roach, and for two tracks, Earl Coleman. The record is in VG+ condition showing some marks on both sides but playing quietly, with only occasional light background crackle audible on the 1st Coleman vocal. No skips and no distortion. Nothing to interfere with the enjoyment of music. The laminated cover is excellent and intact (actually - near mint!). The labels are excellent with light spindle marks. This would make an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this rare original issue. The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
